'The Wonderful Brocade' is from series of illustrations for a book of international folktales commissioned by Running Press, Philadelphia. I had completed a more than a dozen illustrations, three of which I was able to color before the project was cancelled due to buyout of Running Press (a 130 year old publisher!) by Perseus Books, Inc.
