'Oracle At Xanthos' is my interpretation of the classic Greek myths surrounding the fantastic hybrid creatures called Harpies or Sirens. I've combined the physical qualities of both in these figures as they share similar attributes as creatures of the sea; both have the ability to enchant and destroy hapless sailors. 'Oracle At Xanthos' is one of a series of ten drawings in the Eclectic Elementals genre created in 2003 for my solo exhibition, 'Visual Alchymy' at The Gallery In The Square, Pittsburgh.
