Inspired by the classic Greek myth of the unrequited love of Apollo the sun deity for Daphne, daughter of a river deity who answers his daughter's plea for protection from Apollo by turning her into a laurel bush, 'Daphne's Daughters' is one of a series of ten drawings in the Eclectic Elementals genre created in 2003 for my solo exhibition, 'Visual Alchymy' at The Gallery In The Square, Pittsburgh. Each image is accompanied by its own descriptive verse. Price listed is for original art. Gicleé prints are available.
