'The Evolution of Ideals' was created for an Associated Artists of Pittsburgh exhibition on American iconography at The Pittsburgh Center for the Arts. Musing on how the passing of time alters our memories and expectations, especially regarding our treasured icons, I drew 'The Evolution of Ideals' and intertwined it with quotations that mark our perceptions of who we are as a cultural species.
