When The Pittsburgh Society of Illustrators decided to mount a show of images based on great literature in 2006, Salman Rushdie's 'Haroun and the Sea Of Stories' was my first choice. Rushdie's colorful settings and characters fairly itched to be visualized and thus 'Iff The Water Genie' made his appearance.
